Au revoir mes amies

Alright guys - I decided that it's time for a new beginning.

I've had this blog since february 2008, and a lot of things have changed since then.

Not going to do a big dramatic goodbye, since the only difference for you guys will be to type in another adress - and be met by a slightly different (and improved) design.

So... without further a due, I give to you...

Heatwave

Just spent the hottest afternoon I've experienced in quite a while, on a pink blanket in Buttes Chaumont. Strawberries, rosé, skorpor and friends - lovely!

Now, quick stop at home for a much needed cold shower, and preparing of the next picnic!

(also relaxing a bit with my new best friend, the fan)

Sweet Hannah and Sarah in the heat...

Timing

Life really is all about timing - isn't it? Being at the right place at the right time, hopefully with the right person as well. Not long ago this guy told me he was sorry for the way he had treated me, and he also said he wished we had met at another time. Something that would probably have made our relationship to something completely different than it was.

A couple of weeks ago I met this wonderful girl called Holly - we've met a couple of times since that first night, and last night was the first time the two of us got a real opportunity to sit down and talk, and realize how much we have in common!

Last night was also Hollys last night in paris.. of course. As I said, timing really is everything. Now I'm off to drown my sorrows on a picnic-blanket in Buttes Chaumont, talk to you lovers later!

Sunny update

Someone (not just one actually, but 4!) wanted to go for wings with me on monday - something that turned in to a whole lot more than just chicken. Beers at The Galway, a bucket (yes, a bucket) of fruity punch and fresh mussles by the Seine, jägerbombs at the Highlander and late night dancing at Pub st Michel...

Didn't make it home again until over 24 hours later. Phew. Spent a lovely summery day yesterday - lunch by the Pantheon, sorbet from Amorino, dozing off on a parc bench in Luxembourg and finishing the day off with a picnic on Pont des Arts.

All in all - I've had a great couple of days!

What have you been up to my darlings?

Sun & clouds

The weather's going completely schizofrenic over here - last night I was at a BBQ (thanks marcel!) until 5 in the morning, wearing only a light dress; today it's grey and I feel like putting on a big sweater and jeans.

What's happening with my sunny summer??

Hopefully someone will want to go eat chicken wings with me tonight, and everything will be better.

Phew.

The pursuit of happiness

There's a certain kind of people, who always seem to spread an aura of love and happiness. You know, the kind of people that always makes you feel better to be around, that always make you smile and feel that life doesn't have to be that complicated after all.

These lovely ladies are those kind of people...

Friday night:

Lovely steak dinner at the cutest little garden by Isabels place - wine, cheese and delicious cupcakes for dessert. Quickie at Café Oz for dancing, although very disappointing new DJ... a stroll along pont neuf and le nightbus all the way home.

Now I'm just hoping that someone will come to their senses and go out with me tonight!

Steaming nights

Started last night with a picnic by the Seine, one of my all time favourite things to do.. moved on to café oz, where it surprisingly enough was a lot cooler inside than outside! Moved on to le Highlander around 2, and ended the night on a big balcony, with a guy who shares his name with this gorgeous man...

Not bad for a thursday!

Check it out!

These posters are all over the metro, Siobhan - I'm so happy for you!!!
